It replaces manual counting, eliminating human error and significantly improving efficiency in electronics manufacturing and inventory management.
Working Principle
X-Ray Scanning: The machine’s X-ray generator emits low-dose X-rays, which penetrate the tape-and-reel packaging. SMD components (with higher density than the plastic tape) absorb more X-rays, creating clear contrast in the image.
Image Processing: A high-resolution detector captures the X-ray image, and dedicated software processes it to isolate component outlines, filter out background noise (e.g., tape gaps, sprockets), and identify individual components.
Automatic Counting: The software counts components by analyzing their quantity, arrangement (e.g., 8mm/12mm tape pitch), and position (avoiding empty pockets). It also verifies component orientation (वैकल्पिक) for critical parts.
Data Output: Results (count, batch number, tape type) are displayed on the screen, printed as a report, or synced to inventory management systems (e.g., ERP) via USB/network. Some models support barcode scanning to link counts to component IDs.
